Digital Media Literacy Bundle

By Graphene - Digital Life Lessons

This media literacy bundle gives grades 7–12 students six misinformation and online information lessons on news, algorithms, echo chambers, filter bubbles, conspiracy theories, satire, and fake news. Students encounter questionable information every day on social media, in the news, and everywhere in between. These activities help them practice source evaluation, fact-checking, feed audits, headline comparison, algorithm awareness, and critical discussion using real-world examples. The bundle gives teachers a complete media literacy unit with structured group activities, teacher guidance, reflection questions, projectable opening prompts, and 5-criteria assessment rubrics with 20-point scoring guides. Dig deeper in my blogs on these lessons. Useful for media literacy, social studies, digital citizenship, English, advisory, journalism, critical thinking, or online information lessons. 📦What’s included: • Detecting Misinformation and Fake News — hands-on practice investigating 8 sample posts and headlines using source checks, fact-checking tools, and evidence-based reasoning.
