Roll and Read Sight Word Fluency Practice (All 1,000 Words) Game Center Activity
By Mrs. Magee | First Grade Brain

These Roll and Read pages are a fun way for your students to practice their sight words and fluency. They can be used with partners or in small group instruction/RTI groups. You could also send them home as homework to practice sight word fluency at home. My students studied 20 words at a time, so I would copy two pages front and back. In addition to reading fluency, these pages also provide math practice for counting tally marks. How to Use: • Laminate each Roll and Read page or use with page protectors or dry erase pockets or other clear sleeve. • Copy the expression spinner (optional). • Divide your class into partners (or use with small groups). Give each partner/group a Roll and Read page, a dry erase marker/crayon, numbered dice, and an expression dice (if you are using one). • Students take turns rolling the numbered dice. They read the row that corresponds to the number they roll. If using the expression dice, they read the row in that expression (example: in a happy voice). • After reading the row they mark a tally in the column under the number they rolled Check out my other Roll and Read items in my store! ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• How to FOLLOW my store: Be the first to know what's new in my store: Look for the green star next to my store logo and click it to become a follower.
