Social Media Literacy Bundle
By Graphene - Digital Life Lessons

This social media literacy bundle gives grades 7–12 students seven ready-to-run digital citizenship lessons about the platforms they use every day. Students explore privacy, screen time, influencer marketing, doomscrolling, FOMO, social comparison, cancel culture, sharenting, and the systems that shape what they see online. Rather than lecturing students about their online lives, these activities use realistic scenarios, practical exercises, structured group discussion, private reflection, and classroom-ready worksheets. Students build critical thinking around online safety, digital wellbeing, relationships, and more intentional social media habits. This is a low-prep, structured discussion bundle designed to help students think clearly, not tell them what to think. The lessons avoid scare tactics and shame while still giving students practical tools for safer, more thoughtful social media use. Dig deeper in my blogs on these lessons. Useful for digital citizenship, media literacy, health class, life skills, advisory, school counseling, technology class, SEL, student wellbeing, screen time lessons, online safety units, or any class exploring social media and digital life. 📦 What’s included: • Using Social Media Safely: privacy settings, two-factor authentication, password security, real-world safety scenarios, and a group ground rules activity • The Attention Economy: how platforms compete for attention, 7 common design tactics, and a private habit audit with optional screen
