Little Journals: Seed or Plant Observation Journal

By Mrs. Magee | First Grade Brain

Are you doing a Plant Nature Study? Trying to grow plant from seeds? This Seed/Plant journal will help your little observer notice the world around them and take note. Choose which cover you’d like to print and which inside pages you prefer. A quick option would be to print the cover of your choice and then print one of the nature journal pages (front and back). Make as many copies of the journal pages as you need. Stack the pages with the cover on top and fold in half. Staple to keep pages together, or bind with a spiral, comb binding, or ProClick spine (as shown in my example on the cover). A general facts about plants is included to record newly learned facts. Three plant observation pages are included: a blank one, one if the seed is planted in a small cup or pot, and one for a seed planted inside a plastic bag. Choose the option that works best for you. Print enough pages so your learners can track and record changes over time. This journal is perfect for a homeschool Seed/Plant nature study or a classroom thematic Science unit. Included pages: • Directions • Covers (color and black and white) • Plant Facts & Notes Page • 3 Plant Observation Journal Pages: blank, one for use with growing a seed in a bag, one for use with growing in a pot/cup. All 3 options include a page with primary handwriting lines and one with regular writing lines. Have fun learning and enjoy recording your new knowledge! *See preview for all included pages! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
