Central & South America Geography of Latin America Carousel Graffiti Activity

Get your students moving, collaborating, and thinking critically about Latin American geography with this engaging, hands-on lesson! This interactive carousel activity helps students build geography knowledge while strengthening higher-order thinking skills through movement and teamwork. Students will work collaboratively to complete a K-W-L Chart prior to the lesson while watching a suggested Intro video to pique their interest. Students will work in teams and will rotate around (like a carousel) from one picture to another, spending 1-2 minutes at each and brainstorming the answers to the questions on each. Students will write their ideas on the chart paper at each station. Allow students to add additional knowledge/terms to the chart if they wish. This will act as an extension of their learning. Students will develop a one-sentence summary of the main ideas and present it to the class.
