Earth Day Fact or Opinion Scoot Game Task Card Center Write the Room Activity
By Mrs. Magee | First Grade Brain

Get ready for Earth Day with Fact or Opinion – an engaging and simple way to practice fact and opinion skills. This resource can be used in THREE ways: Scoot, Write the Room, or Task Cards! You have THREE options on how to use this resource with your students/class: • Scoot Game – Scoot games can be played with a whole class of students and are a fun way to practice and review skills while moving around. • Task Cards – This resource could also be used as an individual center and the Scoot cards could be used as Task Cards for an individual center or small group activity. Place the cards in a container of some sort, have students work through the cards one at a time and record their answers on the recording sheet. • Write the Room- This could also be used as a Write the Room type of center. You simply place the Scoot cards around the room (taped onto furniture, shelving, etc.) so students have to look and find the cards and then record their answers on the recording sheet. Choose between the regular sized cards or the "mini-sized" cards. This file contains enough Scoot cards to play with 24 students at one time. If you have less than 20 students, simply cross out the extra boxes on the recording sheet. If you have more than 24 students, have students scoot to a place to "rest" when they are not answering a question. Arrows are also included to help guide your students to the seat they should scoot to next. Your class may not need to use the arrows after playing several times,
