Phonics Bubble Mazes: The Alphabet Uppercase and Lowercase Letters

By Mrs. Magee | First Grade Brain

Phonics Bubble Mazes: The Alphabet is a fun way to practice recognizing uppercase and lowercase letters. Each bubble maze focuses on a different letter of the alphabet. Each page has a fun bubble maze- a box of bubbles with letters inside. The bubble maze starts in the top left corner with a picture. The letter for that picture is either to the right of the picture or below it. Students will color in the starting picture and its letter. They will then proceed to find all the letters, uppercase and lowercase, of the same letter, coloring them in as they find them. This will create a path from the starting picture to the ending picture. (See example above) Depending on the needs and abilities of your students, you may choose to use the included writing activity page. Simply copy it on the back of any bubble maze, write a letter in the box at the top of the page, and students can look around their classroom environment or in a book to find words beginning with the target letter to write on their recording sheet. How to use this resource: Use the Phonics Bubble Mazes as an early finisher activity. Use as a homework assignment. Add to a phonics or word work center. Use in small groups or as independent work. Use with RTI students for intervention. You can find Phonics Long Vowel CVCe Bubble Mazes here!
