By Geography and Math Made Easy

Asia, in particular, faces some of the most severe consequences of climate change, including rising sea levels, more frequent and intense natural disasters, and changes in agricultural patterns. Students will read about 10 effects of climate change on Asia and will work together to find solutions. Many countries in Asia are already experiencing the effects of rising sea levels, which are putting millions of people at risk of flooding, displacement, and human disease. By learning about these 10 human impacts on the environment and global climate change challenges, we can better understand the urgency of taking action to reduce our carbon emissions and greenhouse gasses and mitigate the impacts of climate change. Students will work in cooperative groups rotating throughout the 10 carousel stations and will analyze the various solutions, deciding, which would be the best solution for each climate change issue.
