Year 5 English daily reviews, Set 4: Vocabulary & Word Meaning. Five weeks of daily practice aligned to the Australian Curriculum v9, US Common Core and the UK National Curriculum. Students work on synonyms and register (formal or informal?), connotation and word choice for effect, figurative and literal language, and multiple-meaning words and analogies, one skill a week, with Week 5 revising all four. The same calm routine every day: an explicit lesson with worked examples on Monday, guided and independent practice, an apply day linked to your science or HASS unit, and a Friday revision of the previous week's skill.
