Year 6 English daily reviews, Set 1: Sentence Building Skills. Five weeks of daily practice aligned to the Australian Curriculum v9, US Common Core and the UK National Curriculum. Students work on subordinate clauses written both ways, varying sentence structure for effect, parenthesis with commas, brackets or dashes, and formal versus informal language, one skill a week, with Week 5 revising all four. Mapped to The Writing Revolution. The same calm routine every day: an explicit lesson with worked examples on Monday, guided and independent practice, an apply day linked to your science or HASS unit, and a Friday revision of the previous week's skill.
