Phonics Bubble Mazes: Long Vowel CVCe Words Activity Center Practice Vocabulary
By Mrs. Magee | First Grade Brain

Phonics Bubble Mazes: Long Vowel Words is a fun way to practice recognizing, reading, and writing words with long vowels. Each bubble maze focuses on a different long vowel word family or group. Each page has a fun bubble maze: a box of bubbles with a word inside. The bubble maze starts in the top left corner with a picture. The word for that picture is either to the right of the picture or below it. Students will color in the starting picture and its word. They will then proceed to find all the words ending with the same word family (seven in total), coloring them in as they find them. This will create a path from the starting picture to the ending picture. (See example in preview) After students find their way through the bubble maze, they will write the seven words in the bubbles they colored. On the bottom half of the page, there are writing lines so students can practice writing sentences using the words they wrote above.
