Year 4 English daily reviews, Set 1: Sentence Building Skills. Five weeks of daily practice aligned to the Australian Curriculum v9, US Common Core and the UK National Curriculum. Students work on because, but and so (a reason, a contrast and a result), subordinating conjunctions (when, before, after, if and although), compound sentences and fixing run-ons, and sentence combining with pronouns, one skill a week, with Week 5 revising all four. Mapped to The Writing Revolution. The same calm routine every day: an explicit lesson with worked examples on Monday, guided and independent practice, an apply day linked to your science or HASS unit, and a Friday revision of the previous week's skill.
